Digitally compensated level transmitter is accurate and easy to install
Basingstoke, UK - Gems new DCL 9300 Digitally Compensated Level Transmitter has been designed to provide the user with the easiest possible installation and most accurate level readings. An on-board microprocessor compensates for changes in specific gravity caused by temperature fluctuation. This means that the unit can be provided factory set to a range specified by the customer, after which no further calibration is required. Just locate it at the required depth and measure true level immediately.
An adjustable range option is also available where the application demands. Customers can set the range very easily via a user interface module and PC compatible software. This is the simplest ranging method of any device in the market: ranging of 10:1 of nominal range is achievable. On board calibration data allows the unit to be maintained or re-ranged without removal from the installation, which reduces down-time and eliminates calibration via a dead weight tester, which is normally a time consuming procedure.
The 20mm diameter makes the units ideal where access is restricted. Triple sealing together with ultra-stable sensors ensures long term, reliable operation. The unit has integral lightning protection to IEC 6100-4-5 level 4 giving ±4Kv surge protection, while a polyurethane cable with Kevlar strain relief eliminates damage caused by abrasion and cable stretch. With a 0.1% total error band of 0.1% over -5 to 45°C, the 9300 is currently the "Best in Class" making it the long-term solution for all level measurement applications.
